POSITION SUMMARY
Internship positions at ORTEC offer qualified individuals an opportunity to gain real-world experience. Working in a fast-paced, professional setting provides interns with invaluable experience applying the knowledge and skills learned in school in a business environment. You will work alongside and in support of a group of world-class professionals in the field of marketing communications.
This position will assist the marketing communications manager with a variety of responsibilities including:
- Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, email and web)
- Monitor and write posts for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Intranet)
- Assist in Campaign building in the Marketing automation platform — SalesForce’s Pardot
- Create audience segmentation and lists for campaign deployment
- Monitor email deliverability/open rates
- Write articles, case studies, e-guides, whitepapers and additional material to promote products and services
- Develop and edit video content
- Report website stats
- Assist in event preparation and operation. Involves light physical activity
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Multiple years of college completed (e.g. Junior year of college completed)
Experience:
- Communications or Marketing Major
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Understanding of design aesthetics
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Must be able to follow through independently
- Must be highly motivated and willing to take direction
- Proficiency with standard office technology (computers, office equipment, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel
- Solid record of past work experience and/or participation in meaningful extra-curricular
activities
Skills:
- Good teamwork skills and an ability to learn quickly
- Proactive and Accuracy
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to learn new web applications such as Pardot and Google Analytics
- Fluency in English
