SAP Consultant Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

As one of ORTEC’s SAP Consultants you will be responsible for the management of ORTEC project deliverables for our customers working alongside our dedicated Project Managers. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues from around the globe to develop and implement solutions within our customers’ supply chains.

Your role will help guide customers to identify the best solutions and processes to maximize the benefits of their investments with ORTEC’s offerings.  At the same time, you will assist in the design and implementation of the ORTEC solutions that provides the customer with the most value.  In short, you bridge the gap between the customer and the ORTEC experts.

The position is based out of Atlanta GA and the expectation is you will be based out of that office. Travel needs vary by customer, but some travel is expected.  With COVID 19 travel has been reduced significantly but it is assumed it will pick back up eventually.  Assume travel up to 25% of the time possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be the expert on customer implementation best practices and manage multiple ORTEC supply chain implementations from start to finish
• Be the subject matter expert towards the Project Manager participating in appropriate set up, planning, and execution of projects through handover to our support organization
• Act as a Supply Chain Business Consultant within the context of ORTEC for SAP, S/4HANA and other advanced planning solutions
• Communicate effectively with customers, management, business, and technical personnel to present findings and recommendations in a highly professional manner
• Set/manage customer expectations and exceeding those expectations
• Ensure adherence to ORTEC’s Standard Operating Procedures
• Work closely with internal product development and sales teams, external partners, and customer teams to ensure successful project completion
• Conduct meetings and requirement-gathering sessions with business and technical staff

Education, Training, Experience:

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience with (multiple modules / functions) SAP focused implementations
• 5+ years’ experience within the area of Supply Chain preferably within the Manufacturing industry
• Deep knowledge of SAP, SAP Methodology and SAP implementation accelerators
• Experienced in SAP Logistics Execution, SAP SD, and MM, especially sales orders, PO/STO, deliveries, and shipments (SAP TM knowledge also a plus)
• Minimum education of a bachelor’s degree in (Business) Management, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Foreign Equivalent
• Experienced designing and implementing custom SAP functions, including screens, locking and update concepts, and custom data dictionary elements, e.g., tables, append structures
• Ability to lead others and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Proven ability to apply new approaches to problem solving
• Continually enhance existing skills and seek new areas for personal development

Physical Demands:
