The Energy industry is changing rapidly. In this highly competitive market the challenge is to gain an edge on the competitors. ORTEC Consulting supports its customers in the Energy industry in high-impact projects in the areas of e.g. supply chain design, predictive maintenance and forecasting. Our customers include Oil and Gas supermajors as well as (new) energy and utility companies.
You will work as an Operations Research (OR) consultant in the Energy team, with a focus on supply chain studies. In this team you assist our customers to make tactical and strategic decisions, by modelling their (supply chain) business. You will use your analytical skills and creativity to apply Operations Research concepts and build applications within mathematical modelling software (e.g. AIMMS). Your tasks will cover the entire scope of projects, both content wise (e.g. acquisition, problem definition, analytics, modelling, programming, and visualizing/presenting of results) and process wise (e.g. project management, team management). Depending on your interests there are ample opportunities to develop into project management, team management or business development roles, always while remaining active in the field.
You will be mentored by experienced colleagues, and you can follow both soft and hard skills courses to get you up to speed. We offer a development program for (young) professionals and for team leaders. And of course, we are also interested in the experience and ideas you bring!
Who you are
As an OR Consultant you have at least 3 years of relevant working experience and you are educated with a Master’s degree in Econometrics, (Business) Mathematics, Business Analytics, or other relevant studies.
